Celebrating Paraguayan Women's Day: Strength, Resilience, and Legacy

On February 24th, Paraguay honors El Día de la Mujer Paraguaya—a day dedicated to recognizing the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of Paraguayan women throughout history. This date commemorates the historic First Assembly of American Women in 1867, where Paraguayan women gathered to support their country during the War of the Triple Alliance, demonstrating unparalleled courage and sacrifice.

At I Love Paraguay, we proudly celebrate Paraguayan Women's Day, honoring the incredible women who continue to shape our culture, families, and communities with their determination and passion. Nancy, Elizabeth, and Natalia, proud Paraguayans, stand alongside all women in celebrating this important day, recognizing the strength and perseverance that define Paraguayan women around the world.

This year, we invite you to read an inspiring interview featuring Nancy Ojeda, a proud Paraguayan entrepreneur bringing the flavors of Paraguay to New York. Her story is a testament to the dedication and resilience of Paraguayan women everywhere. Check out the full interview here: Mujer Paraguaya en el Mundo – Nancy Ojeda y su emprendimiento gastronómico en Nueva York

From the artisans crafting ñandutí to the leaders, entrepreneurs, and everyday heroes making a difference, today we celebrate their achievements, honor their struggles, and reaffirm the importance of gender equality and empowerment.

To all the incredible Paraguayan women—your strength is an inspiration, and your legacy is everlasting. ¡Feliz Día de la Mujer Paraguaya!
